I spent an hour trying to 'decode' the wrong file.

Still, scrolling through a .swf in Windows Notepad had a slight Matrix feel to it
...Except Notepad does not let me plug in to do kung fu or somersaults with guns 'n' stuff.

I listened intently to the .swf in WinAmp and all I got from it was that I love the IH music.

Okay so I'm just gonna, you know, start from scratch and maybe find the file everyone is talking about in the first place...?! :P

Edit: FYI I can't find it. I literally cannot even find the file everyone is talking about! :x

Hahah!

Yeah, and all I got was A------ and mwoc.
I can't "find the question, and it is the question that drives us." (the package)

I'm still lookin'.

"compresion" really needs a second "S"... or was that intentional? I guess that should go in "Bugs" though...

Found the "package" (if you can't find it, you're thinking too hard: try the most likely filename that stares you in the face... and then try out every extension you know, the right one is probably the second most common)

EDIT: Found the password, extracted the files, but what to do now?

I can open "unknown" with IrfanView (cut if spoily) but it's the same thing as what I see on the level??

EDIT 2: Sorry for spoiling at first, I was in a hurry and got distracted. Changed it once more, so it's OK now.

EDIT 3: GOT IT!! OK, so if (like me) your Photoshop stops working and you want to use a smaller program... IrfanView is not enough. Use GIMP, it contains a function you need. No image editing, thankfully, but IrfanView is still not enough.

I've only tried a couple of filenames (going on what has been said above, it sounds like it's either the most obvious, 4-letter word or another 4-letter word that requires no searching at all) but I've gone through a lot of extensions with no results. Is there any chance that this wouldn't work on Chrome?

It's not a four letter word, but it's still obvious.

Ah, now on to the password...

Does it have anything to do with the pattern with the missing letter, as seen in one of the filenames within the package? I have found the missing letter but can't seem to use it in a password with any success.

Missing "letter" (---) + numbers at the right = password

(If you don't see numbers, open with a different program, same extension, different program)

Wait, open what to see numbers where? I haven't even extracted the package I obtained yet. I only know about the filenames because you can see what's inside before extracting; I haven't yet opened anything.

alright... got the [] (or so I think. anyway, it allowed me to unpack one of the files, so I guess it's right), but can you give me a hint how to decode the 'binaries'? I tried the Morse code and a few weirder ideas, but none worked. is the letter pattern a sort of key to the 'binaries'? and... what should be the outcome? a word, a string of numbers, a string of letters that don't make a word?

You may not know what the "[]" means. PM me if you want :)

I have a program that shows numbers but these numbers don't work as a password with the [] solution (---)

Are these numbers supposed to be something in particular related to the files?

It is... but are you sure you're seeing everything?

There should be some extra numbers in the information. The right "thing" will help you decipher the numbers.
