I have found the extra letters, but what should I do with them to get something out of the horseshoe? Some of the letters in the horseshoe makes the word "luck", is this just random?

Ok, so I've been stuck on this for a while and so instead of trying to solve it I'm just getting ll the info I can and hoping something will click.

Found the clue in the source and applied it by going through all the letters. What I get are a pile of pages with different letters that seemingly make no sense. The final page is interesting as it seems to be a question.

Now, what I don't get is how these letters apply to the picture and/or the title - could someone give me a gentle nudge in the right direction? I've been trying to replace letters with others and got nothing comprehensive so far.
