Just a n00b question-how can i turn off the music while playing?
Like, it takes time to stay on one stage, and while I use notepad/picasa/google or inwardH, it's kinda, you know.
Thnx in advance.
I'm afraid it's impossible, although you may use some stuff like adblock and temporary block flash elements from this server. Or just turn off your speakers [if sounds really disturbs you to think]. I had but two ways - music available only on IE [and bgsound] or music on all browsers, but with no possibillity to turn it off [in flash]...
Maybe in the future I will ask some people for help and add "music off" button [don't know whether it's even possible without a lot of boring work] if that's really disturbing...

No, music is not 'disturbing' as you said, on contrary.
I really like the music BG, but what you said about the music ON/OFF button is a great idea.
While playing this(or zestriddle) i prefer listening to Nox Arcana, Dead Can Dance or something else, which is impossible like this.
I guess you're right about this part 'a lot of boring work', but hey, let the kids have their fun:).
A little advice [credits to tynka] - try refresh the site and quickly stop it. Picture should be visible [if not - retry] but the music may be not loaded yet, so it won't be played. That doesn't work for sound effects, but they don't loop so after one play they also should cease.
Try it.
And I'm happy you like it

While thinking about level, I don't have level.htm in my browser. Just source-code is open, picture is open, and it's all. No music. Want level back to try answer or something? One click and you got it.

Doing the same thing as paFci0 - but sometimes you forget that images are not in the same catalog as the htm file, and you can loose some time asking yourself: 'why is this answer not working - well, maybe wrong idea (and whole level from the beginning)'. Happened twice already.

Use a browser plug-in!
The music in IH is half the experience, great work whoever put it all together! However, it might get somewhat disturbing at points.
Example: I found myself stuck for the first time on lvl 5, and after a few hours of listening to the same loop of music, I found myself looking over my shoulder just to see whether someone was there. That in combination with other signs of me going slowly insane made me find a tool that blocks flash-animations mine has the imaginative name "Flash-block" and is intended for use with firefox. It works great and can be turned on and off at any point. I know that there are other similar plug-ins for other browsers.

Although you are the more experienced user of IH, all I can say is that Flash-block works perfectly for me. Just like having a switch to turn the music on and off...

Thanks But you're totally wrong
Sorry, but how can I be wrong when the music is turned off while Flash-block is enabled and turned back on when Flash-block is disabled? That's the point isn't it?
To others who wants to get rid of the sound, try it out for yourselves... then make your own opinion...

I've found a way to do it... I like the music, but I'm on level 30 and have "many things" up at once...
If you download the Opera browser, you can actually apply changes manually made in the source of a web page. So open the page in Opera, open the source, delete the 2 "embed" codes at the top, apply changes, and-- voila. No sound.
This little trick helped me beat level 27, editing not the music, but... something else :-)
