This is my first riddle, I've found some but this is which I found more interesting.
I'm stuck at level 5, and don't understand what the [] , dots and numbers mean.
Anyone can help me please?

I wrestled with this one, so I'll try to help you. I got short and very useful tip that might help you: "Look down". I didn't know what that means until I solved this level, but understand this tip literally, observe around yourself.

I have found the page with the []'s, but I have read something about advanced image editing programs. Do I need one of them to solve the riddle withe the []'s, or is it later in the task? I don't want to spend a lot of time on riddle where I actually need Photoshop or something to get my answer.

You don't need graphic editor yet. And even if you need in the future - this doesn't have to be Photoshop or Corel or other colossus.

Alright, I'm stuck. I know that's what everyone says, but...I've gone over this entire forum, at least 3 times now, and I can't find the second picture, and I've seen the hint in the source...I also get "kiss" But it's just not...Making any sense.

Forget about searching the other pic - it will find you when it's time. Now focus on the source and think like very, very stupid baby. Or computer. You need answer. What is the answer?

The picture with the question mark; Does it's name have something to do with the answer? I really don't get anything out of the []'s, I'm starting to think that it is only a distraction.

DietMoose - you do not have to know the question, the only important thing is that it is question. Lol. When you find it you will kill yourself.

Vardark - name of pictures are rarely important. [ ] -> look at it's shape, remember something from the past, identify the pattern of [ ]s. Those things can help you.

I only started IH today and already got stuck on 5. first part was easy. I just haven't got the bloodiest idea what to do with the picture with question mark...tried editing it in gimp but nothing...it's getting really frustrating. help?

I went for a walk, got back and looked at that question mark again. I think i know what you mean by saying 'map' and i think i encoded the first word but can't get the last 4 letters right. Am i on the right track though?

Regarding needing an extra piece of software you can find a way to connect the --- without it. Just think of the most obvious way of looking at the images one at a time, then put them together.

EDIT: Just to let ya'll know I just finished the level. It sure had some parts to it.
