so I'm gonna save the thread coming back to the actual topic. Compared the "passwords" and still don't see anything other than some repeating sequences which I don't know how to interpret. Don't see how the HS is relevant either, although I've noticed something that might be a coincidence (and probably is). What am I looking for exactly? A string of numbers to convert into words, I guess, but still too many unknown elements here to solve the level.

It seems like I'm really bad at finding proper "less obvious" connections... several ideas went dead, no new ones.

The comma symbols are what really throws me off. I can think of one visually similar levels, but that had numbers, not just letters... and no commas, that's for sure.

OK, I've finally managed to do the very first step of this level, which is really neat. I should've known. There's a detail on the picture that fairly blatantly tells you EXACTLY what to do.

But now...

58B is the most straightforward part in a long time when it comes to figuring out what to do (doing it might be a different matter).

Are you sure there's "JPG compression"......?

I haven't got a hintscreen yet, I only have the flashing "thing". I think I'm not at the 58B part yet.

I tried a certain approach I tried before but the tools either give me pure black or something quite random and meaningless...

No other pointers at all? I have "comparison" knowledge + HS, but I can't understand where to apply my results...

Now that I understand the "comparison" do I still need the past connection? Or is the comparison itself + HS everything I need?

I even managed to get a word from "similar but not the same" (literally the text) but it didn't work. Which is obvious because that solution did not use the HS at all, just the comparison.

I really can't understand the HS properly. U*** of what? There's more than one meaning for this word...

If you have the hint screen from the "flashing" step, you've pretty much solved the riddle. Except maybe your sense of time needs a little tweaking.

works but that means I didn't actually understand the "comparison" properly, because the obvious relation doesn't seem to matter in this context...

Anyway, YAY for 59... but I'm still not sure how the last steps on this level were supposed to work.

if you're on the last step /with hs & number/ and ran out of ideas /particularly if you don't know what's special about past and present 'answer'/, try to describe the direction of the arrows in both levels with one single word

this is the key to what you should do with what you got from the 'flashing' part /nothing new, re-----, but unlike before/
