Perhaps...

I can't understand the cipher/pattern/whatever on the first page. I tried to decode it as the b******n cipher, but that seems to be the wrong approach. I've tried counting to see what I get and every so many times the pattern breaks, but I can't make heads or tails out of that. :/

Still stuck on the "too much..." HS. Does it mean I'm translating incorrectly, or is this the correct way to proceed? (If so, more hints would be nice ;) )

Well... returning to this, I did finally get the file. I was going completely the wrong way about it initially, the real way was actually simpler.

Now the file is making me real confused. I suspect a certain method, but am getting a very dumb result from it.

very cool way to start the level once you understand the code in the first post...

got the file, on the same part with muzo. i understand what to do with the file, there's just a lot of ways to work with this

maybe i'm overcomplicating things...

edit: nvm, nice... is this the ending screen?

Got this. Is the "hole" page the ending screen for this or should I attempt to go further somehow? It seems like an ending screen, though, since there are literally no clues or anything like that.

Finally solved, thanks to a tip from Ila26. Turns out I was thinking too black-and-white - "too much" is only slightly too much, it's mostly correct.
