1) I do have: 6 letters
2) I do have: 7 underscores
3) I do have: the understanding of what "2k+1" is (it HAS to be that)
4) I do have: all ---, written down. wow, sorry, thought it was a useless idea
5) I do not have: a clue
I've tried converting letters to numbers only to wind up even more confused. I'm probably overthinking something, but I don't know what.
Found a "help me find..." HS, is that what you mean by the confirming one?
Following that instruction precisely and literally by typing the "find" into the URL gives a 404.
EDIT: Got this part (thanks to PMing Xanax), I was REALLY CLOSE in one of my attempts, but I was ignoring the "z" half, if you know what I mean. I never knew it'd be useful... Ugh. Thanks, Xanax.
EDIT 2: GOT IT, I was overthinking as usual. Hint: don't use 33's solving method in the last step. In fact, don't use it anywhere in the level.

Still sitting at the first HS. I have tried a lot of 33-esque ways to fill in the missing letters... not sure how to interpret Muzo's "don't use 33's solving method" hint.

Well, don't.

As literally as possible. The solution is not even remotely 33-esque at any step.

I think I'm way off track..
You probably have already tried the right thing, but in the wrong place... go back to the picture and work with something very familiar. But at no point should you ever use 33-esque methods, use "2k+1" instead.
EDIT: Found another hint screen... some letters and underscores.
EDIT: Ahh I was starting to get real words, there! It dissolved into gibberish.
EDIT: Tried something else, and oh my god I can't believe that actually gave me a hint screen. I think at this point I have all the numbers and letters I need.
So far, though, no luck in bringing the two together. Always gibberish. There's no other hint screen telling you what to do here, either. Seems like a lot of trial and error now.
EDIT: Solved! That last step was hard for me. All the steps in this puzzle are easy to actually execute, but figuring out what to do is hard. Keep the strategies simple and you'll stumble upon the right ones eventually.
