Found a bunch of hintscreens. Also found the 'special thing' that just basically says the exact same thing as what half of a different hintscreen says. The 'special thing' seems really significant, but if what it has to say can be said by a completely separate hintscreen that can be indepedently found, is it really that important?
Zen riddle questions to ponder
edit: lol I tried something and got a non-404 page and was excited for a moment. Then it turned out I was just back at 69
I actually think I understand how you're supposed to solve this riddle, but the obvious trick doesn't work (as if the obvious thing has ever worked since the 60's or so).
I got it a little bit by chance. After I finally realized the "thing I was looking for" all along as stated by the many hintscreens and in the level itself, I was stuck for about ten mins...getting frustrated, I randomly tried something just for shits and hit a hintscreen, and then realized what the trick was all along.
This is actually a pretty nice level, but all the hintscreens are really unnecessary. Protip for future travelers:
You know what the answer is. Once you get a good hintscreen out of it (it says something different from all the other 290428023 that just say the same thing), think simple...but watch out, because simple doesn't mean easy. Simple can be tricky
As for the mass of hintscreens that say the same thing, you're fine with ignoring most of them. In conjunction they only have about two different lines of stuff to say between them. Both lines are important, but their sources are not (so once you have both it's good to go.)
Might make the level easier than previously, but I think it's fine. The key insights on the right track are all omitted Just some dispelling of all the nonsense fogging up the level...
The Epihellix guys found most of the hintscreens and then I wanted to go to sleep... after which my groggy mind connected the right hintscreens together and gave me the solution.
There's one hintscreen that's basically an instruction (albeit a snarky one), confirming exactly what you need to do. Then you need to obey the instruction very, very literally. You'll probably get another HS, telling you that you're not using it correctly... so try to be even more literal than before.
It's very simple and very silly. Don't try to do anything complicated, it won't work.
EDIT:
Muzozavr's "Beyond the Rim" Hint Circle: 72
This level really doesn't want to tell you anything... so force it to.
Then obey the clue as literally as you can. If it's incorrect... then be even more literal.
