Posted: 2013-12-17, 21:33 Level 30: Time Ticking Too Fast
The first time I loaded level 30, the ticking was out of control fast. Refreshing the page doesn't fix it, however going back to 29 then forward using browser buttons seems to slow it back down to regular speed. The ticking on level 29 works fine, so I've got no clue how only 30 is broken. I can't remember if there was ticking elsewhere in the puzzle before this, but it's the first instance of the player looping the audio way too soon.

I think this happens because your Quicktime plugin hasn't loaded the whole mp3 file, but it's set to loop, so it may stop/stutter, bork up and then loop way faster than it should.
This is why one low-priority thing I'd like to see happen is Raidmaster (or whoever is responsible for the page coding right now) converting mp3s to swfs.
That is strange because on lvl 29 the ticking is just one tick, looped in a bad way. I would expect more issues with this one. In lvl 30 there are many ticks in one loop, so it should not be "faster" if the mp3 is played correctly.
And yes, the mp3 system is not working fine these times. Something on "to do at some point" list.

So it loads the whole thing in one go and the looping mechanism itself does not get borked up. I have experienced this with Chrome and the latest version of QuickTime.
