16th? Hard to tell when not everyone announces their arrival.

Anyway, I've finally completed every existing level! And it only took me... 11 years...

Thanks again for the great riddle!

Finally solved, thanks to a tip from Ila26. Turns out I was thinking too black-and-white - "too much" is only slightly too much, it's mostly correct.

I realise the forum is mostly dead these days, but I had a cool idea for a new riddle, so I thought I'd post it here. It's a bit harder than the previous ones, but anyone who's made it past level 20 or so of IH shouldn't have too much trouble with it. Good luck ;)

Hahaha, why didn't I think to try that before?
Solved, thanks to a hint from Muzozavr. Surprisingly simple for an unsolvable level ;)

Nearly a year later, and I'm still stuck on 68c (zero-bytes). I have no idea how to 'transform', and the only case-sensitive methods I could think of didn't work. 'Non-words' makes this a ridiculous guessing game, particularly when the 0B hint is so minimal.

EDIT: Made it through thanks to some PMs. Right place, wrong case
Now for 68d... had to pull out Avidemux because VLC's frame advance is lame. I think I've been "precise" enough, but I don't think I've found the "detail" yet (pretty sure it's not the empty Polish audio track :P )

Still stuck on the "too much..." HS. Does it mean I'm translating incorrectly, or is this the correct way to proceed? (If so, more hints would be nice ;) )

Just found the "solved" picture, but is it really over so soon? It seems almost too simple. And I'm still not sure what people meant about being "nice", unless they're just referring to the name of the second picture.

Also, I still don't think "Is in here" on its own is quite enough to find the first page. What's written in the HSs is a much better hint - but you're more likely to find them after the first page than before... (For second step, the picture is all you need.)

Also stuck at the 0B file - I'm assuming the "lock" and "key" have the same name at every stage, but now the key is locked too :(
Several clues but not sure how to combine them, and "don't be afraid of non-words" means even more possibilities...

Oh wow, has it really been 5 years?

Anyway, I've finally made it past this level :D
My final result for the second part still looked rather muddled, but not dark - and I can see how a certain method would make it clear ;)

On to 66!

This. There are other underclued levels, like you said, but if you don't already know about the method for this one, you'd never find it with the clues given.

If you've found --- (I'll call it a "lock"), all you need to do is
- find key.key
- get key
- put key in lock (but might have to change shape of key before it will fit in lock)
- ---
:P

(sorry if too spoily)

Hello, used to play before, my old account seems to be locked so had to make a new one. (I don't mind tho, Hellix is back and I hope I can finish it this time around <3 )

Currently stuck in this one, I can interpret the image and the HS, can also find the thing in google, I just don't know how to use it or what key.key means. Yes, I can guess what the title is, it's just I don't know how to use it without a key, I just get gibberish.

Am I missing something? Just read this is a new version of the level so that explains why the previous vague hints don't seem to apply.

Sounds like you already have all you need, except for the key. The key is easy to find, but might need some reshaping to fit the lock...

Now I'm in a new location, found three hint screens but no second picture yet. Right track?

Yep, this requires a thought. The pain in arse factor of that is that sometimes mp3's are used for solution, so the change would either make the way more obvious or make the level unsolvable [I personally prefer the second option].

Still, a lot of technical aspects to overcome - source code, conversion tools, changing the paths... This is not a minor thing, I'm afraid.

I kinda liked the concept of the old system (.swf for "music", .mp3 for "sound effects"), but I don't really mind what happens as long as people can hear the sound [and the level remains solvable].

EDIT: ...oh. Sure you want to leave it as 'key.key'?

I don't hear. Maybe sound related issue again.

Okay, after downloading both and checking in Audacity, the one in hatebeat is due to my headphones (they click very faintly at the start/end of silence) and the one in thud is because of the mp3 cutting off halfway. But unlike the other mp3s, this one ALWAYS cuts off here when playing it within my browser (Firefox with Quicktime), no matter how much I refresh. Downloading the file and then playing it (in Audacity, WMP, Quicktime and Firefox) always seems to work properly, though. :/

I don't quite follow this.

The hint screen is now talking about a slightly different 'word' to the one that leads there. Not a big deal, though.

Just finished a run-through up to level 65 (where I'm still stuck) to look for any issues, found a couple but nothing major.

- As has been mentioned, the sound files are sometimes glitchy - mp3 files sometimes don't load fully, thus looping much earlier than they should, and swf files sometimes stop playing. I don't know how much of this is my computer/browser's fault, but I'm not the only one who's had mp3 issues at least.
- The entrance to level T is still pointing to the me3.pl domain, although this won't exactly prevent people from finding the level :P
- As has been mentioned, the tool necessary for level 17 won't work on 64-bit Windows. I'm trying to find a way to convert it to 64-bit (or at least 32-bit), but with my lack of programming knowledge, I'm not very hopeful.
- For that matter, I'm sure there was a hint somewhere in level 17 saying 'l*** f** s**', but I can't find it any more. Is it gone, or am I just not looking hard enough? (I think it was at k**.htm, which is now a 404.)
- --- are missing from the 'old levels' version of 27, making it unsolvable unless you've played the current 27. I can't solve the old versions of 13, 18 or 26 either, but that's most likely due to lack of clues rather than missing files.

And now for some extremely minor nitpicking...
- http://inwardhellix.com/tutorial/mus/ needs an extra '../' in its source code to correctly point to the css file. On a related note, http://inwardhellix.com/css/ is the first legitimate 403 I've found on the site :D (trying to visit [any folder]/.htm also gives a 403, but I suspect that's unpreventable).
- There's a click sound at the end of thud.mp3 (level 23), and a less noticeable one in hatebeat.mp3 (34, 46, 59 etc). Nothing massive, but kind of annoying for people who pay too much attention to the background music (like me).
- I'm quite happy that the Google part of 59 is now easier, but the change does make the HS (the one about 'never heard of a thing called like that') a bit strange.
- Wikipedia does not acknowledge the -8290.5 value in level 39. It's still quite findable through Google, but if you feel like making it a little more 'official', the -8290.5 should be replaced with -8244.
- I'm a little disappointed that there isn't a sarcastic '---' egg on level 19. ;)

I just now found what to do at that first step. It is indeed quite simpLe, and I've seen it show up in riddLes before...

EDIT: Treasure is found!
I wasn't around for old 12, but I recognise it from the "old levels" section - the reward for cue two was much easier to read in this version, though ;)

The "Need a..." hs will help a lot. Just compare it to "bLue", and that's all you need to figure out the code for the source riddle (in fact, it's possible to figure out with just the word "bLue", only more difficult).

Now seems like a good time to start.

EDIT: okay, found third pic, but... I think the "feature" really is gone. Also, is red pic supposed to be broken at the bottom?
EDIT 2: Pics combined, now what?
