Meame, you know the method to solve, you have all the tools necessary to solve, now it is simply up to you...there are no further hints that will help you, it is just a matter of accuracy now. There are not so many possibilities. PM me if you would like me to check your letters to make sure you are on the right track. And relax...this is supposed to be fun!

Glad you were able to get it Brianlim, although I must say, I am baffled by your inability to understand how one would go about solving this level...very clear instructions are given on this page...anyway, good luck and remember to have fun. ;)

Why give up? For sure, Inward Hellix is not an easy puzzle, but it is worth the time and persistence. Beezqp gave you the best course of action...shed some light on your problem and the answer will be clear. Do you have the proper tool to lighten your burden? I am a fan of Irfanview and also GIMP.

This is easy for me to answer, as there were only three levels that I did not like or that brought me heartache (there were MANY that provided extreme challenge, but they did not push me over the edge like these levels did):

- 43: Beezqp, you must have a twisted personality to have come up with this level. ;) This level was very emotionally difficult and having to do that one step over and over again until I could come up with the answer was torture.

- 59: The last step on this level had a completely OBSCURE reference that I honestly would never have found without hints. I ended up spending much time becoming an expert on a subject that was completely irrelevant and would have been stuck there forever I think. This particular reference I think was much easier for you folks on the other side of the Atlantic, due to its nature.

- 60: The first and fourth steps on this level really almost caused me to give up, and so close to the end! As you can imagine that was thouroughly frustrating, being so close. There are certain types of thinking (rational, inductive, logical, spatial, etc.) and for some reason, the type of thinking necessary for the first and fourth parts of this level really set my brain on fire...I just had such a difficult and unpleasant time trying to force my brain to work the way it needed to. I know there are other levels that other people had difficult times with, and that I manged to get through rather easily...different brains, different results.

I agree with Tynka, we should discuss favorite levels next...my list is MUCH longer there.

To add to Bna's thoughts...this is my first online riddle (certainly not my last now that I am addicted), and in a lot of ways it is probably like your first kiss or the first time you ride your bike...you can do it again, but the thrill will never be the same. The past 72 days I have been consumed by the world of Inward Hellix, and have loved every minute of it. I loved the late nights staring at the circles, wishing they would stop spinning in my head. I loved the endless twists and turns, solving a level only to find out their is another, harder sub-level lying in wait for you. I loved learning about math, language, html, secret codes, image manipulation, and yes, even about Asian water management systems. I loved the fact that I could be chilled to the bone by level 43 and tickled silly by level 58, such opposite reactions that show the depth of creation that went into making this puzzle.

So, thank you Beezqp for my first kiss...it was quite scary, a bit wet, and over too soon.

Not sure what the Polish words are, but if they are saying "The last step of this level is HARD" then they are true words. The first parts of this level were awesome and a great deal of fun (and very inventive Beezqp!). This last step (hopefully last) would be awesome too, if I knew how to do it  I *e*, then you *o*, but now I have no solution.

I stare at the long answer and I feel like I am trying to decode The Matrix...but I am not The One.

Not sure what I will do when I finish...just be happy with a job done and enjoy the experience I had (some of the levels are absolutely brilliant...others I hope to never see again).

What I find interesting about IH is that 1) there are NO answers posted anywhere on the Internet. The IH puzzlers take the vow not to reveal answers very seriously. This means that if you want to finish IH, you have to come up with answers by yourself. 2) As the levels get higher, the hints get fewer, until at last, in the 50's there is hardly a hint anywhere. And since so far, only two people have solved IH, that means that if you want hints for the levels in the 50's you have to try and track down one of those two people. Fortunately for me, Tynka is always ready to help like a guardian angel, but even so, she never gives anything away and I have to work very hard to move on to the next level. I have only five more levels to go...and then i will burn forever in the fires of Inward Hellix.

Strati,

In this case, we know from many other documents and such that DaVinci actually often put "hidden" or "subtle" meanings into his paintings, so that is part of the attraction, trying to figure out what is going on....what exactly is that smile on Mona Lisa's face and who was she to Leonardo?, etc. I totally agree though that just because it is a painting, doesnt automatically give it value. For instance, Jackson Pollack...for me, that is the most ridiculous, overvalued painter ever....a bunch of paint splatters on canvas and it is worth $50 million! That is a joke in my opinion, but some people see more.

I am not a total art afficionado, but the first time I saw a Van Gough in real life, I was thunderstruck. There are some talents that can transcend the medium...like hearing Miles Davis for the first time, or reading your first short story by Hemingway. Genius breaks through.

Anyway, that is my two cents, which isnt worth what it used to be :P

Some of the best books are "children's" books, because they can be read on many different levels. Watership Down, Book of the Dun Cow, etc. Of course, recently, children's or "tween" books are all rage...His Dark Materials by Pullman, Dark is Rising by Cooper. I think Rowling really changed the landscape for books in general, crossing so many age boundaries. It opened up the world to go back and look at Tolkien and Lewis who are immensely popular now.

I love the Dark Tower series..."Death, but not for you, Gunslinger". "Mister, we deal in lead" "Go then, there are other worlds than these..." I have read those books at least a dozen times each...many people have missed this magnum opus work by Stephen King. And most don't realize that just about every book he has written has some relation to the Dark Tower series.

Kathy Reichs is an author I have just recently gotten into (I also watch the TV series "Bones"). Temperance is a great leading character and it is great to watch her struggle to reconcile the emotional side of herself with the analytical side of herself.

Anyway, I could talk books forever.

The knife is defintiely in the right hand of Peter...a not so subtle jab at the Catholic Church I think. Notice that Mary/John is the only one smiling serenely (almost like mona lisa, soft facial features) and with hands clasped gently in front. Everyone else is in an uproar over the news from Jesus that one at the table would betray him. The only other non-bearded person at the table has very strong, harsh male features, but not John/Mary. As far as DaVinci always portraying saints with femine qualities...most of the people at that table are saints. Strange, eh?

For those interested, you can view Davinci's "Last Supper" in 16Billion Pixels at this location:

I swear, John, who is sitting on Jesus' right side (our left side as we look at the picture) looks like a woman.

I am having a great deal of difficulty figuring out what "2K+1" refers to. Do I need to refer to any other level, such as 33 or 51 to determine what 2K+1 means? Any hints?

Yes, I did mean Douglas Adams, RIP. Love his books. I have not heard of Robert Asprin. Robert Jordan definitely is NOT funny...all fantasy and sci-fi. The Wheel of Time series is epic though.

Pratchett is great...cross between Adams and Robert Jordan or Ursula Leguin. My favorite Pratchett is Hat Full of Sky. Too bad about Jordan passing away...Wheel of Time series was excellent, but alas, unfinished forever.

Did anyone catch the last episode of Numb3rs? Does anyone watch this show? The last episode was STRAIGHT from IH, I swear! It dealt with magic number squares, Fibonnaci, golden ratio, numeral-alpha tranlsations, all kinds of puzzle solving that we have been doing in IH! It felt quite surreal.

I am an avid reader of all things fiction. Some of my recent favorites:

"The Unbearable Lightness of Being", Kundera
"Life of Pi", Martel
"Fourth Realm Trilogy", Twelve Hawks
"No Country for Old Men", McCarthy

I like selecting an author and reading everything by him/her. Some of my favorite authors are PD James, Robert Parker, Robert McCammon, Stephen King, George R. R. Martin, and of course, JK Rowling.
